LaDawn Knicely HELPS YOU MOVE IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION

A Rockingham County native, LaDawn Knicely has over 20 years experience as a REALTOR® in the  Shenandoah Valley. Deeply rooted in the region’s diverse culture, magnificent landscapes and the openness to faith and religion, LaDawn values the lifelong friendships formed as she’s guided families through the process of buying or selling a home. She is passionate about serving her clients and the community.

Ordained as a pastor in the Church of the Brethren and as a pastoral counselor, LaDawn takes seriously her calling to use her spiritual gifts and peacebuilding skills to promote transformation, healing and love for individuals, as well as for the community as a whole. She strives to bring folks together to build a community of LOVE.

A former volunteer chaplain and counselor at Harrisonburg’s Gemeinschaft Home—a therapeutic, transition home that prepares formerly incarcerated males for re-entry into society—LaDawn also has volunteered as a chaplain at Sentara RMH Medical Center, visiting patients and families in all units, with a special interest for patients in Behavioral Health. She also has provided counseling services at The Mercy House in Harrisonburg, and trained under the mentorship of Harvey Yoder at the Family Life Resource Center in Harrisonburg. LaDawn organized and implemented an On Earth Peace Agape-Satyagraha Program for the Boys & Girls Club Teen Center, engaging teens in group discussions and role playing scenarios to practice conflict resolution skills.

A 1992 graduate of Bridgewater College with a degree in business administration, LaDawn earned a Master of Arts in Counseling from Eastern Mennonite University in April 2013 and a Master of Divinity from Eastern Mennonite Seminary in April 2015.

LaDawn’s first love and passion is being a mother to her daughter Kendall. Her hobbies include gardening, farming, sports, golf, hiking, traveling and reading. An avid lifelong learner, LaDawn immerses herself in diverse cultural experiences.

LaDawn’s inspiration and outlook for daily life is summed up in 1 Corinthians 16:14: “Let all that you do, be done in LOVE.”
